Journey to You

It’s yet another journey,
The time I want to pass in a hurry.
Just have to serve my time,
Before I can call you mine.

Been on this road once before,
And guess I’m still up for more.
New people and things will come my way,
But of all, it’s you I want to stay.

Fears and doubts may pull us down,
But I won’t be the lonely clown.
For now, everything is clear,
That it’s you who completes me, my dear.

Forgiven

I know I often hurt you
And, I lied, it’s true
No more words left to say
So I can make you stay.

We’ve been on this road before
And you want nothing more
But to be rid of me
That I should let you be.

I tried so hard to find you
For apologies are long overdue
You’ve kept your life hidden
That to reach you is forbidden.

I pray you are doing okay
You are on my mind every day
And let my heart believin’
One day, I will be forgiven…

Boxful of You

Torn pages of notebooks
Sketches of how you look
Scribbled hearts and arrows
Plans of tomorrow
Your name and my name
And a promise that never came.

More than a decade between us
How time moved so fast
Our lives went unrelated
Detached and separated
But fate must have its way
Left us with nothing to say.

We took that one chance
If only at a glance
We can let this feeling go
To what is real and might grow
It was there long before
Gone too soon for us to explore.

Now, our lives are still apart
Both of us, back from the start
Confused and unreconciled
A vow you must abide
Have to stay away from your life
Because you are now someone else’s wife

Memories of stolen moments
A love that was never meant
Remain with photographs and gifts
Full of unfinished dreams and grief
Of things of what might have been
In a box…forever unseen.
